Tarryn Lucas- Owner/ Operator of Tarryn Lucas Fitness

Inspired to improve the fitness and wellbeing of those around her, Tarryn Lucas enrolled and completed Certificate IV in Fitness through the Australian Institute of Applied Science and has been a registered Personal Trainer with Fitness Australia for just under 8 years.

In November 2012, Tarryn wanted to gain further insight into improving Children's health and wellbeing and gained further accreditations after completing a Certificate in Children's Fitness and Nutrition for Children through the Fitness Institute of Australia and a Certificate in Outdoor Fitness for Children through Motivate to train. Tarryn is now also a registered NDIS Provider for far south coast.

Tarryn continues to broaden her fitness knowledge by travelling away frequently to conduct weekend fitness courses for other personal trainers around Australia qualifying them to become Children’s Outdoor Instructors via Dynamite Fitness through Motivate to train.

Tarryn’s mission is to provide all clients no matter what age with the knowledge, skills, guidance, support and motivation they need to achieve their fitness potential and enhance the quality of their own life. She believes the more people who understand the importance of exercise the better it’ll be for everyone.

Sasha draws on her 10 years of experience as a Professional Snowboarding Athlete and Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
Sasha's extensive studies and years of experience working in the fitness industry will bring you the knowledge, direction and motivation to achieve your fitness goals.

Carolyn Casey
A locally known group fitness Instructor and has been instructing since 2002. Carolyn's words after attending as a client her first TLF Class- I've never really enjoyed exercise outside but I really enjoyed it. I loved the atmosphere amongst your participants, very welcoming to someone that was seen as a new client.

Erin Smith

Erin recently returned to Merimbula in September last year after being away for close to 15 years. Making the move from sunny Port Douglas with her two small children Stella & Finn, to be closer to family.

Erin completed her qualification in 2010 although didn’t pursue a career in fitness at that time. However, Erin is now ready to give it all she’s got, and we can ensure you; we are bloody excited to see her grow and develop into a highly motivated and successful trainer. Here at TLF we are going to continue to mentor Erin for the next month or two and share our wide range of skills and knowledge until we feel and or she feels, she is ready to jump aboard and commence instructing alone.

Lucy Young

Lucy completed her Certificate III in Fitness whilst completing Year 11 and 12 at Bairnsdale Secondary College. Lucy then moved to Merimbula NSW in 2017 when she decided to further her studies and complete her Certificate IV in Fitness via correspondence through the Australia Fitness Academy. Lucy has now successfully completed Level 1 Spin/ Cycle certification through Cycle Excel and Performance Nutrition Coaching Level 1 through Clean Health Fitness Institute. Lucy also holds her First aid level 1 and CPR Certification.

Lucy’s love of fitness stemmed from her competitive tennis playing years. Lucy was a part of the Gippsland Tennis Academy for 3 years whilst travelling regularly for tournaments.

Lucy plans to continue her studies and complete a range of short courses extending her knowledge in the Fitness Industry

Shae Harris


Shae found her passion for training back when she was younger as her dad was a CrossFit coach, her dad would always push her and inspire her to be the best version of myself. His passion for training and improving health and wellbeing has not transferred onto Shae

Shae completed her studies in Allied Health Assistance then went on to work with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to implement group and individual exercise programs at age care facility’s. She moved to Cairns with her Fiancé (now husband) and eventually went on to study Certificate III in fitness instructing and certificate IV in Personal training and found my passion for training others again.

Shae is excited to get to know so many people who love and enjoy health and fitness like she does.

JC
JC is a wellness coach and has spent the last 9 years in London helping actors, models, professional athletes and high-flying professionals achieve the body and health they deserve. JC’s specialties are Mobility, Pilates and Nutrition and now dedicates himself to helping his clients reduce their plantar fasciitis, flat feet, sciatica, lower-back and shoulder pain and improve their overall movement.

He will be here to assist us with casual fill for all session types and also teaming up with us to bring you a ''Mobility Movement'' block where you too can learn how to improve your mobility and movement and reduce pain and tension.

Born in Wales, JC has moved to the valley with his beautiful wife and daughter to embark on their Aussie life.

Charlotte Miller - School Based Trainee

Welcoming TLFs newest school based trainee.

Charlotte has just commenced year 11 at Lumen Christi Catholic College and today signed the contract for her traineeship with us and we couldn’t be more excited!!!

Some words from Charlotte - Hi I’m Charlotte, I’m 16 years old and current sports captain at school. I play afl for Merimbula diggers and swim most mornings. I am passionate about helping people achieve goals and keep fit.

As an athlete, I am constantly training and working towards goals and have grown such a love for fitness, I would love to share my passion with the whole of the South Coast. I am very conscious of other areas of my health too, like getting enough sleep and eating a well balanced diet specific to my needs.

I have so much to learn and I am so keen and motivated. Leaning from such admired and successful fitness instructors and a local business woman like yourself Tarryn would be a dream come true for me.

Here at TLF all trainers are excited to mentor, support, educate and inspire Charlotte through her studies and we wish her the best of luck

I have been absolutely amazed by this inspirational young woman. Tarryn is so dedicated to helping  each and every one of her clients, she is constantly changing up her program's to keep us all interest and intrigued . + Being an exercise lover, i love the gym and exercise- so I attended one of Tarryn's Friday morning bootcamps in Merimbula for the first time. The bootcamp was great and challenging, i walked away feeling like id had a workout which is what i need when i exercise - satisfaction! I especially love the bootcamp being at 7.00am - not to early, you get to see the beautiful scenery of main beach and gives you plenty of time to get ready for work.  Below is Julia's story:

 I have always been a yoyo dieter and always had weight issues. I started my weight lose journey in August 2013 when I started the 12wbt.  I gave it a go with my major goal in mind - my wedding in March 2015!  It was hard to stick to but I managed to loose 8 kilos, this was a huge achievement for me so I signed up for another round.  Thats when it all fell apart, I didn't train at all and didnt eat right and will only now admit it but gained the whole 8 kilos back! I felt beat and like I let myself down.  I was back in a size 20 -22 and worried my health was suffering. I didnt know who to turn to for help.

 A friend had recommended Bootcamp sessions with Tarryn Lucas Fitness.  I was very nervous but thought id better do something now or it will never happen! I met with Tarryn and discussed my goals, I was very nervous but knew I was in the right hands.  

I started training with Tarryn in March 2014 with 1 year until the wedding.  Early morning bootcamps were hard but I started feeling really good during the day and noticed my clothes were getting too big! What a lovely feeling getting rid of those size 20-22 clothes. Soon after followed size 18, then 16 and then finally size 14. 

I cannot believe that a year on i can proudly say I can fit into a size 12, I never thought id live to see the day!  I would not have been able to do it without Tarryn, her training was hard but all worth it!  I have gained not only my confidence, but a great friend!  Tarryns support has been absolutely fantastic! I have gained so many new friends at bootcamp, everyone is so positive and supportive.  

Thank you not only to Tarryn for your amazing guidance, motivation and persistence with my weight lose goal but also a huge thank you to Tarryns awesome clients! Thank you for putting up with my f-bombs and mental breakdowns,  I look forward to training with you all in the future!  If you are thinking of starting your weight loss journey I highly recommend Tarryn Lucas Fitness!!
